If the format sounds gimmicky, the show has an unforced emotional authenticity and a strong, tactile connection between the leads. The nights are not always overtly eventful, but as they accumulate, The New Years impresses. Go to Full Review

This show is fittingly self-contained in the same way that a decade is, driving home the point that nothing in life or love is guaranteed. Go to Full Review

It’s one of the most effective and affecting series I’ve experienced in some time, and is a creative triumph for all involved. Go to Full Review

Sorogoyen and his team's film is moving, albeit in a more superficial way. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Tom R. @tomrusk2 Feb 8 Unbelievably authentic depiction of a relationship with superb actors. I can’t recall a movie or series that depicted people and their (especially his and even their origins in his childhood) hangups so authentically and I’m turning 88 and was a psychiatrist for 60 yesrs… See more Lee B. @Elenaferrante Jan 31 Loved it. The span of time and the changes they go through are both frustrating and realistic. The passion is real. I loved that both actors were so un made up and unconcerned about their looks. So refreshing and different than the absurd polished American films where no one has a wrinkle and they are in full makeup 24/7. Bravo See more walter m @Wamacha Jan 3 This series is a complete blasphemy of human interrelationship. Completely out of touch from reality. It glorifies cheating and fake love to the point of becoming a true satire. You have to be a completely hollow human being to enjoy this. See more Read all reviews
