I loved it, and I am so happy more of the truth is out. The Police need to start getting their game on and get this solved...If so many other armatures and work on this case and find more things that the police that is the day the cops need to hang up their badges. Josh did an awesome job and I know Maury was smiling down on him.

I read the book about 30 years ago and became obsessed! Over time, I thought I was the only one who remembered the book and the amazing investigation that Mr Terry meticulously did. I stumbled across this series on Netflix and was blown away. They stayed true to the book but wasn't blinded by the Satanic Panic craze in the way I feel Mr Terry was.

After reading the book years ago, I always found this case fascinating. I've always watched Josh Zemans documentaries so I was excited to see he was working on this.I was not disappointed, I really liked the interviews with people that knew this case and believe David Berkowitz did not act alone. It has really jump started the case again.

An exciting watch! The Son of Sam case is already fascinating, so adding the perspective of Terry adds a fresh story to this well-known crime

This is a gripping, informative and entertaining docuseries that will keep you on the edge of your seat and leave you wishing that Netflix had ordered more episodes! Mr. Zeman's research is stellar and he has an amazing ability to find the perfect video/news reels to accompany segments. The casting of Paul Giamatti was PERFECT & a brilliant move. And the opening for each ep was simply one of the most creative & gripping I've ever seen (& I say that as a lifelong documentary FANATIC), engaging you instantly and serving as notice that great content was in store. I wish Netflix had ordered more episodes, or a sequel would be produced. I would also definitely watch anything else done by the team responsible for this truly entertaining docuseries.

Riveting. I was expecting either a fan boy piece, or an effort to debunk the whole Maury Terry theory. Instead, got a nuanced review of the facts, along with an unknown (to me at least) description of Terry's last days, and how the entire case consumed him. The last scene in California, with the attempted arrest and subsequent suicide of Crawford was chilling.

A deep-dive into the real story behind the Son of Sam murders. David Berkowitz did not act alone, and this four-hour documentary by Josh Zeman fills in many of the holes in the accepted lone-nut story. Lots of interviews with police, investigators, witnesses, and Berkowitz himself. It's also a brilliant time-capsule into the era itself. Very well done. I'd love another four hours.

This first season provides a nice, concise overview of the Son of Sam case. Regardless of your opinion of Maury Terry or how far he fell down the rabbit hole, there's no denying Berkowitz did not act alone.

I have been fascinated with the Son of Sam case for many years, mainly thanks to Maury Terry's book. It was really nice to see how Josh basically took the book and made a documentary on it. Seeing footage of Maury Terry was great. It was also great to see how much work was put into bringing this documentary to fruition. I enjoyed it very much and wish there were more episodes to see. I've seen Josh's work before and have always liked his style. Great job!

This is a look at the Son of Sam case from the perspective of an investigative reporter determined to reveal that David Berkowitz was not the sole actor in the infamous crime spree. Maury Terry, through documentary footage, interviews, news clips, and narration by Paul Giamatti, unfolds a detailed conspiracy theory that involves a Satanic Cult, the real sons of Sam Carr, and, even, Charles Manson. Whether you buy this conclusion or not the documentary is a good overview of one of the most infamous cases in NYC crime history. The 1993 Interview with Berkowitz himself is one of the most interesting elements. This together with the suicides and mysterious deaths around the other In Berkowitz's circle raise serious questions about the NYPD's ultimate conclusion. Worth watching.
