In "Undercover Billionaire," businessman Glenn Stearns heads to Erie, Pa., to try to build a million-dollar company from scratch in just 90 days. With $100 in his pocket, the self-made billionaire must come up with an idea and find a team to help him build the business. Along the way, he shares practical tips and real-world knowledge based on his three decades in business. Born into a working-class family, Stearns is diagnosed with dyslexia, fails the fourth grade and fathers a child at the age of 14. However, he pulls himself up by his bootstraps and displays an unmatched entrepreneurial spirit as a young person, forming his own mortgage company, Stearns Lending LLC, within 10 years after becoming a teenage father. In the reality series, Stearns will reveal his true identity at the end of the 90 days, and a financial evaluator will asses the value of his new company to see whether it hits the mark. If it doesn't, Stearns will put $1 million of his own money into the business.

He's clearly benefitting from the fact that a Discovery camera crew follows him around. And I'm not sure where you can go to the emergency room for $250—it seems that in addition to $100, the phone, and the truck, he got to start out with exceptional health insurance. These sort of reality shows can be a bit 'cringeworthy' but I have to say that I became hooked pretty quickly. Glenn Stearns was immediately very likeable and down to earth. A billionaire who seems very grounded and genuinely likes people and that comes through. The good people of Erie PA who took part, all made many sacrifices to follow Stearn's enthusiasm and what appeared to be a crazy plan. A great story of struggle and friendship. Season 1 was probably the most compelling and refreshing TV I've seen in many years. I congratulate the production team also for delivering a quality show. See more 01/22/2021 Out of all the #EntrepreneurShows out there, the show format truly showcases the entrepreneur journey of "bootstrapping". The highs and lows of starting a successful business. Although produced for TV. The knowledge gained by watching the show and how being an entrepreneur takes a lot of hard work, but gives the viewer many ideas on how to be a problem solver. A path to financial Freedom. I highly recommend both Seasons as well as it's sister show, Undercover Billionaire: Comeback City. @GlennStearns very humble, and very relatable.
