Even if it feels one-sided, there is value beyond entertainment in trying to understand why. Go to Full Review

It's not easy viewing and some of its intentions can be questioned, but it sure is ambitious and feels potent and urgent. Go to Full Review

Amir S @RT70696713 12/02/2024 A good series based on difficult and true events. See more Manu 1 @RT68022684 09/23/2024 Amazing serie, but some special effects let’s any to talk about See more John H @RT44490115 02/20/2024 Excellent movie about a major battle during the Yom Kippur war. Very good action but also some compelling stories develop through the battle. See more Jan K @RT67816879 08/25/2023 Immersive, thrilling, and moving. This series is a much dramatized representation of the struggle that the main characters go through. Well made, with sufficient character building, believable settings and plenty of action -though the ending leaves much to be desired. It's certainly less factual than other war mini series, patriotic and perhaps even lauding the IDF more than needed, but it certainly shows the anticipation, fear, bravery, thoughts and actions of a set of very diverse characters. Above all else, it tells the age-old adagio that war consumes everything and leaves only losers. See more scott c @RT99083577 08/19/2023 I enjoyed the series and hope they make the second season to wrap up the war. In regards to the fact that some people say it's a one-sided view. I wonder if the same people complain that the "Band of Brothers" didn't spend enough time trying to explain the German side of the war? See more Jon P @44Jon 06/07/2023 Whatever flaws it might have (e.g., a few too many scenes feel familiar from other war movies), it excels in gritty realism and there is a lot of subtlety to the script (e.g., Yom Kippur war marked the end of the rule of the Ashkenazi elite in Israel and the show fleshes that theme out beautifully). (And have no idea what some reviewers mean by saying it's "one-sided"--is an Israeli production supposed to cheer on Syria's stated goal of destroying the country?) See more Read all reviews
