What to Know

Critics Consensus

W/ Bob and David offers a long-overdue reunion between Mr. Show principals Odenkirk and Cross - and a suitably hilarious reminder of the reasons for their subsequent individual successes.

The world needed this reunion, just like it needs Cross and Odenkirk and Tompkins et al. to scatter and tumble into as much pop culture as possible. Go to Full Review

Most importantly, With Bob And David is very, very funny. Aside from all the structure and theory, these jokes work both on a conceptual and gut-level. Go to Full Review

It's terrific to have this sort of anarchic comedic spirit back on TV. Go to Full Review

We get to watch two friends whose professional successes pale in comparison to the joy they get from dressing up like goofballs and making live audiences laugh. Go to Full Review

Language, ticklish topics tackled in absurdist sketch show. Go to Full Review

One great sketch; a scattered array of good jokes, performances and ideas; and an engrossing hourlong documentary - is that enough to have warranted a Mr. Show revival? Well, look: It had to happen someday. Go to Full Review

08/30/2021 I was a huge fan of Mr. Show, I think it's probably the best sketch comedy show ever created. I thought W/ Bob and David was very good; usually reunion shows seem like a good idea in theory and then they don't turn out very well, but I was happy with the new sketches. I didn't feel like they had lost their edge with age or anything like that. It's only 4 episodes, one of which Netflix has dropped, so it's not much, but it was nice to have them back. See more 08/09/2021 This show is hilarious and the on going theme from the start and end of each episode is priceless. You just don't get things like this anymore. It's a tragedy that Netflix has decided to pull the one of the best episodes (3) from the stream. If something like Tropic Thunder gets the pass but the third 3rd episode does not makes no sense what so ever. Censorship like this is how you lose subscribers and produce weaker content. See more 01/17/2017 Ahh yes I could watch this again and again See more 11/14/2016 Ony on epside 4 and i already gave it a 5 star. So fucking good. please let there be a sizzle 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 ect See more 08/23/2016 Bob Odenkirk and David Cross may not be quite as ruthless in how they satirize their numerous targets as they were during their previous sketch comedy show, Mr. Show, but they certainly succeed in remaining relevant, twenty years after Mr. Show began. The familiar cast is still much on point, even with some contemporary changes in style of humour, and W/ Bob & David is an excellent introduction to the lovingly destructive nature of Odenkirk and Cross. Having watched Mr. Show first, where misses were near non-existent, I was disappointed by the drop in consistency. Sometimes, the writing team goes too easy, in favour of playing for a more contemporary audience. For newcomers, that may not be noticeable. My favourite sketch is Rooms! The Musical, from its preceding sketch conception, through the sketch itself of three guys conceiving a musical about singing rooms of a house, and into the following sketch that reprises running gags of the episode. That, among the many other successful sketches of the show, are so hilariously pointed that, despite the drop in consistency, I ached for more than four episodes. See more 12/23/2015 Great, funny show. The pre-taped video bits are better than the live studio performances (obviously), but still funny. The Salesmen bit was the best of the entire season. The 4 episodes season leaves you wanting more. The "making of" episode provides a good insight to the creative process. See more Read all reviews
