Audience Reviews for The Unholy

Boring, slow, poppycock religious nonsense. Nothing makes much sense, the characters are bland, and I could barely pay attention. Overall uninteresting and dimwitted shlock.

The Unholy is a stylish and eerie little horror gem. While the plot can be convoluted and the film can have some unintentionally funny moments, for the most part it does manage to be a solid serious horror film that is quite underrated. If you enjoy horror films with religious elements to their plots, this is one worth checking out.

It's in the same realm as The Omen and The Exorcist, just not as good. It does have its own creepy vibe that works for it though. The last 25 minutes was pretty intense. If I saw that part at a young age I would be psychologically scarred. A highlight was recognizing the dad from Boy Meets World.
