Audience Reviews for A Reflection of Fear

A psychological thriller that is very much in the vein of "Psycho" or one of the many Hitchcockian thrillers that the Hammer-Horror film studio churned out in the sixties. Though the picture is admirably restrained and has its occasional moments of creepiness, this film pales in comparison to the aforementioned classic (or even those Hammer quickies) due to the fact that the plot is simply too derivative to enjoy, with each revelation being both obvious and unoriginal. The climax is also rather... well, anti-climatic and not that suspenseful or terrifying, with a final revelation that has been done many times before. Still, those who eat up your twisty psycho-thrillers (like me) might find some enjoyment here, but prepared to watch a routine entry into the subgenre.
