Obviously it's an early silent and possesses a continuity that adheres to that so it does retain a certain disorientation. But if watch it through you get a strange and interesting story. Theda Bera alone, though, has a really undeniable presence and pull. Plus you got a groundbreaking story for the time about a "Vamp" that although doesn't suck out a man's blood, but sucks out his life for seemingly no gain other than the pleasure of causing his destruction.
