Movie Info

Shot in the seedy Boyle Heights district in Los Angeles, InSight follows Kaitlyn (Natalie Zea), an ER nurse who while tending to a young stabbing victim, Allison, is accidentally electrocuted by the defibrillator that was being used to save the woman's life. Almost immediately she starts to experience the victim's memories. Kaitlyn turns to family, friends, and the police, but no one takes her seriously, so she takes it upon herself to solve the crime - as the terrifying visions threaten her sanity. Ultimately, Kaitlyn teams up with detective Peter Rafferty (Sean Patrick Flanery) and weaves her way through the victim's past in an attempt to discover the brutal truth about the murder and herself. -- (C) Official Site

From its unexciting transference of psychic powers to its dull police procedure to the way one secondary cop character wears a fedora two sizes too big, this thriller is late-night-cable bad through and through.

A psychological-supernatural thriller that's light on thrills.

Tired story and pacing issues turn this into just another generic supernatural thriller.

It's not terrible... just weak.

Watching InSight is like realizing that menacing shadow on your wall is being cast by nothing more than an ill placed stuffed animal. It has no real claws, no real fangs, and ultimately no real bite.

Audience Reviews for InSight

Disappointing. Good actors, but it fell short.

Very rarely do I see a movie that completely surprises me. That rare film that you think you have figured out before the title credits role but when it's over you're left going, "Wow, that didn't happen the way I thought it would." That's exactly how I felt after watching the new thriller "InSight." "InSight" is a twisty little indie thriller that never lets up. Just when you think you have everything figured out, your hypothesis will collapse. Everything about this film surprised me. This is a well-directed and well-acted movie from start to finish. Indie films like this usually go two ways. You have the typical Lifetime TV movie route, which is safe. Then there's the smart and classy unpredictable road less traveled that "InSight" thankfully takes.
