When Thor's evil brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), gains access to the unlimited power of the energy cube called the Tesseract, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Downey's Stark/Iron Man steals the show because the actor is capable of making the tritest dialogue sound wonderfully witty, but the CGI effects are amazing and, despite its length, the film is very enjoyable.

Seems like a miracle that something like this could be pulled off, fully amplifying and improving upon everything each solo MCU movie accomplished before it, while also standing on its own with the team dynamics.

La prima grande unione dei supereroi Marvel è un trionfo incredibile al botteghino che però, dietro alla spettacolarità e all'ovvia attrattiva, nasconde anche un film di indubbie qualità. La sceneggiatura è sicuramente ottima, in grado di unire dialoghi divertenti e veloci a spettacolari sequenze di azione degne della miglior CGI mai vista sullo schermo probabilmente. Molto abile Joss Whedon nel dare ampio spazio a tutti i personaggi, rendendo utile e vantaggioso avere tutti i supereroi insieme. Villain già visto nella serie che serve più che altro da contorno per l'unione della squadra.

The Avengers was the movie that proved the MCU could actually work. Joss Whedon pulls off the difficult task of bringing six established heroes together, giving each a distinct personality, meaningful role, and moments to shine. The chemistry between Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner is outstanding, and watching their relationships evolve from constant conflict to genuine teamwork is still immensely satisfying. Tom Hiddleston is endlessly entertaining as Loki, providing a charismatic villain who feels like a personal threat to the entire team. The Battle of New York remains one of the MCU's defining finales, highlighted by the iconic continuous shot of the Avengers fighting together for the first time. The alien invasion follows a familiar superhero formula, but the unforgettable character dynamics make this one of Marvel's most rewatchable films.
