Movie Info

After his mother dies, Oliver Twist (Tim Curry) spends his days slaving away in a squalid workhouse. Having had enough, Oliver runs off and finds sanctuary with a gang of young thieves led by grown-up Fagin (George C. Scott). When the orphan picks the pocket of Mr. Brownlow (Timothy West) and the rich man takes an interest in him, it seems Oliver may have earned his ticket out of poverty -- that is, until thug Bill Sikes (Michael Hordern) kidnaps the boy for a criminal scheme.
