A tedious, dull, and anti-climactic mess...
The only riddle about Riddle is why is there 2 directors?
John O. Hartman and Nicholas Mross provide this so-called thriller with an appropriate introduction. Unfortunately, the rest of the 90 minute story goes downhill. The pacing is on the slow side and the plot details are unfulfilling, as they lack any sort of thrills or riddles.
When it comes down to it, the suspense is bottled up until the final 15 minutes. The violence is mediocre and the blood is mild enough for a PG-13 affair.
Elisabeth Harnois does a fine job as the lead, although her character is nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to these types of pictures. Val Kilmer is a complete waste and disappointment; the same can be said of William Sadler. Diora Baird, on the other hand, is a decent watch.
At first glance, Riddle looks to have potential, but it never delivers.
