TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 2 days ago Strange Magic initially made me think it was a Disney film because it’s available on Disney+, but then I realized I didn’t recognize it as part of the Disney lineup. It feels more like a hybrid project, something Disney distributed or had some involvement with, rather than a traditional Disney production. The animation was probably my biggest issue. I found it awkward and, at times, downright ugly. You’re trying to present handsome princes and beautiful princesses, but the character designs often felt strange, especially the ears, which were so distracting that I kept wondering what I was watching. The story itself was cute enough, but it never became especially compelling. I also found the use of familiar songs a little awkward. Overall, Strange Magic is watchable, but it isn’t memorable. The unusual animation and character designs kept pulling me out of the experience, and I don’t see myself returning to it. There were some cringe scenes and some parts doesn’t do the story much good but their still needed otherwise it wouldn’t be the same movie. The romance is a 10/10 as well. I would recommend watching the movie at least once, I’ve found that people either absolutely hate this movie or absolutely love this movie.
