Missspoil3d 0 @RT87703048 Aug 23 I personally liked the movie. 7/10. I don't think the gore was much at all, but it kept my attention. I would have liked to see more gore or more possession scenes. See more Tygari D @RT50516022 Aug 5 It has a more original angle in that the exorcism has already failed, the host has died, but the demon remains. Which makes for an interesting premise. Unfortunately they do no build up, no backstory, no explaining of events. It ends up being a lack luster story with pretty decent acting and good special effects. It is like the writes just didn't wish to do any world building at all and left everything hanging on the actors, who I feel sorry for. The character of Daddy could have had a longer presence to better develop the exorcism angle, while the security guard provided great comic relief. Placing the exorcism in the middle of the story with added creepiness, as some viewers suggested, might have enhanced the overall effect. The demon just is, and becomes a was—or so we hope, since we have no idea what happens to the demon if Hannah's corpse is just burned to hell, or how her father knows all that he knows. The beginning was paced well, although Megan had a shitty backstory. Towards the middle, everything was too rushed for the viewers to even keep up, on top of all the dark filming and minimal logic. The direction, though extremely repetitive, was appreciably good. I am someone who is the least bothered even by the finest of horror movies, and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The sensor-based lights are seriously brilliant and annoying at the same time, because who the f*** keeps that sh** in a morgue?? Shay Mitchell absolutely owned the part, and Kirby Johnson—MY LORD!
