07/06/2022 This was one of the best spin-off series! Anyone who has ever loved Days of our lives or soap operas, in general, owes it to themselves to watch this on Peacock! I miss when soaps had this kind of budget for locations and extras plus the plot is fun and campy! Full of nostalgia and twists Days of our lives Beyond Salem is a must-see! They crammed so much into these short five episodes my heart longs for more! Takes place over a long weekend, as "John and Marlena travel to Zurich; Ben and Ciara have a romantic getaway in New Orleans; Chad visits some old friends in Phoenix; and Abe, Paulina, Lani, and Eli vacation in Miami. All find themselves embroiled in a mystery involving stolen jewels which, in the wrong hands, could cause dire consequences for Salem. It's a race against time for ISA agent Billie Reed as she crosses the globe in search of this missing treasure." If you want an escape from all the crap going on in the real world right now I highly suggest you escape Beyond Salem! See more 09/11/2021 If you're a fan of Days, hold on to your hat, and be prepared to take a ride down the rabbit hole. Soaps by their very nature are meant to be campy and cheesy. Beyond Salem takes it to a whole new level. I don't have the words to describe how horrible the writing is. The acting is even worse than what's on the daily show. See more 09/11/2021 I watched Days of Our Lives for +20 years and gave up 15 years ago. Budget curs, poor stories, constant back from the dead characters with wooden acting have made the main show imo unwatchable. Beyond Salem is a fast paced adventure that feels like a throwback to the golden years of soaps in the 80s. Many of my favourites are front and centre with a few who left the show a long time ago and I never thought I would see them in these roles again are back. Eileen Davidson as the original Kristen and Lisa Rinna as Billie Reed. NuSonny is perfect. Paulini is annoying. Carrie! Austin #1 (or#2?)! If you were like me and drifted off from Days, or don't have time to commit to a daytime soap opera when stories go on and on then I encourage you to jump in and watch these 5 episodes.
