The series looks at the 50-year quest to find the mysterious man who hijacked a Northwest Airlines passenger jet in November 1971 and escaped with $200,000, never to be seen again. Five decades. Few clues. Too many suspects. The identity of skyjacker D.B. Cooper remains one of the greatest mysteries of the 20th century.

... The show concerns itself with the hypotheses proffered by the countless hobbyist investigators, the most prominent being Tom Colbert, who has, amusingly and alarmingly, sunk more of his own money into discovering “the truth” than Cooper ever stole. Go to Full Review

DB Cooper Where Are You?! is a somewhat wholesome docuseries that invites you to get lost in the unsolvable legend of a man who hijacked a plane for ransom and was never caught. Go to Full Review

To be fair, the first instalment (there are four) is a hoot. The second, however, shows us what happens when true-crime obsessives go too far. Go to Full Review

Scott M @Skeeeeezo 12/31/2024 As someone that is unfamiliar with DB Cooper, I would have like to know more about the heist, and less about those trying to crack the case. See more dan r 08/02/2022 Like a great episode of Scooby-Doo (sort of), 'D.B. Cooper: Where Are You?!' SYNOPSIS: 'It follows the 50-year quest to find Cooper, the man who hijacked a Northwest Airlines passenger jet in November 1971 and escaped with $200,000.' Netflix's expertly crafted four part documentary series shines the spotlight onto one of the great American mysteries, if not one of the greatest of all time. This story recently gained more fame with it's appearance on the 'Loki' TV series. The first episode, which delves into what happened that faithful day, is brilliant, but the quality slips as we progress into the series and are met with more and more conspiracy theories. There are so many suspects and every talking head has their favourite. Overall it's great fun and a 'ripping yarn' as one of talking heads enfuses. Director Zenovich also delivers a story full of wit, bemusement and conspiracy theories. Unfortunately it appears we'll never know the truth now. Great stuff! 7/10 See more 07/28/2022 Most of the audience reviews of "D.B. Coope: Where Are You?" completely miss the point. This limited series isn't supposed to be a true crime documentary promising to solve a mystery. Rather, it's about the culture and obsession the D.B. Cooper hijacking has created over the past fifty years. The filmmakers show the obsessed guys swearing Robert Rackstraw is D.B. Cooper not to agree with them. Those guys are featured because they are the ultimate example of D.B. Cooper obsession. To criticize this series because they present obsessed researchers is completely missing the objective of this series. Truth is, this is a very well-made series that does a good job of reviewing the D.B. Cooper hijacking, presenting the history of the investigations over the decades and featuring the people hell-bent to solve the mystery. Watch watch it with this is mind and enjoy it! See more 07/25/2022 Not a surprising gulf between critics and audience scores here. Let's recap. The show follows a team of private "investigators" who declare themselves the case-crackers and know who D.B. Cooper is. Act One: "Team": declares first suspect the actual D.B. Cooper. Guy is some short, stocky, bodybuilder type who apparently died very shortly after the hijacking. In reality, all evidence and descriptions point to some tall skinny guy. "Team": Okay, okay, lol, just kidding. We have a different suspect and know he's actually D.B. Cooper (some guy named Robert Rackstraw). Robert Rackstraw was investigated and cleared as a suspect by the FBI 50 years ago. Act Two: "Team": We're going to confront this Robert Rackstraw character. Team goes to Robert's place of business. "Team": Sir, sir, excuse me, sir? Are you D.B. Cooper? Robert: No, I am not D.B. Cooper. "Team": See?! We told you he was D.B. Cooper. Case Closed. End. See more 07/21/2022 The first episode is really compelling and introduces a lot of interesting theories and ideas. But halfway through the second episode, this became a flat-earth "documentary." There's nothing terribly journalistic about what happens thereafter: half-baked theories, EXTREMELY leading questions ("do you think his eyes COULD have been brown in the RIGHT light?" Give me a break), and a constant admission that the makers had "lost objectivity" because they were "right" about their primary suspect. Honestly, in the end, it looked like they were just harassing an old guy, and the super weird and jokey talking about how they'll use their guns to take him down if necessary was beyond f**ked up. This guy just wanted them to leave him alone. I'm not sure how these people call themselves investigators. There was nothing fact-based about their theories and they couldn't seem to be honest that their self-admitted loss of objectivity was actually a problem, not a "good" thing. See more 07/20/2022 Having flown Boeing 727s I have issues with the commentary on flying at 250 knots being slow for a jet and extending the flaps. You cannot start extending the flaps until below 230kts leading edge devices at 240kts. "The pilots didn't even know if the plane could fly that low" ??? How in the world do you think we land if the plane doesn't fly low??? I am sorry but if Netflix can't get basic factual information on the flight characteristics of the plane how can I believe the rest of the story? See more Read all reviews
