In my opinion, the show is not as good after the movies. The episodes are very repetitive and the jokes become extremely predictable and less consistent. However, there are still some spectacular episodes like "The Late Philip J. Fry" and "Cold Warriors" that every fan needs to watch. Overall though, this season is a bit of a dissapointment.
After a successful run of straight-to-video movies, Futurama is revived by Comedy Central for a sixth season. The Planet Express crew gets into all new adventures with Fry building a robot Leela, Bender and Amy hook-up, Leela becomes the writer of a children's TV show, and the Professor travels back in time to rectify the actions of a distant ancestor. The original cast returns and are joined by a couple of interesting guest stars, including Chris Elliott, Katee Sackhoff, and Patton Oswalt. But unfortunately the comedy isn't as clever and sharp as it was in the original series; relying more on topical humor and parodying current pop-culture (iPhones, Twitter, Comic-Con, gay marriage). Also, it tries a little too hard at times to recapture the magic. Still, it does deliver a lot of laughs and there are some good parodies and satire. It's pretty rough, but Season 6 is an entertaining and fun return to the world of Futurama.
While it's more of a mixed bag than the original run, there are more than a few moments of brilliance peppered throughout to make it a worthy addition to the Futurama canon.
Futurama Season 6 is hit-and-miss, Neutopia and Yo Leela Leela are a definite miss while Benderama and Prisoner of Benda and Attack of the Killer App are Hits.
Season 6 brings new elements into the show such as satire of pop culture (eyepod) and parody of classic story (Moby Dick). Most episodes were great and enjoyable.
The return could have been a disaster, but thankfully there isn't too much to complain about, and there are some new top episodes to be made here. Zombie Futurama this ain't.
incredible funny and hilarious
