Pandora T @RT21690034 01/01/2025 I was drawn in by E2. I found the female characters a bit confusing because they all have physical similarities, namely beauty; the older female slave is my favorite. The actors are well cast. I’m surprised that the budget doesn’t seem to provide for horses or oxen as that was the main overland transport during this era. That is the only glaring error without delving too deep into the history of the region. I thought the costuming and acting was exceptional especially from Yon Gonzalez and Aria Bedmi. The locations were stunning and the storyline (even though very tragic) was gripping. I hope there is not another series as I have it in my head happy ever afters tending the grape vines...Well done. Ps...loved seeing Michelle Jenner in it too See more 06/09/2022 I really tried to like this more. I love period pieces, and this one had such potential. The main character is maybe the only likeable person in this show, and the Moor slave woman he purchased. But he goes through such trauma, almost every single episode there is something horrific for him. The acting in this show is not bad. It just feels like some characters keep flip-flopping in how they behave. The score feels kinda generic. It helped me pass the time, some of the drama held my attention, and I watched to the end because I already felt invested. But I was glad when it ended, found myself skipping ahead several times by the last episode. See more 04/27/2022 Loved it!! I binged watched all of Season 1 in one day - it's that good!
