Reminiscient of The Crown and like The Crown it takes the viewer behind the curtain and imagines the story behind the headlines and does so with dialogue that crackles and is entirely plausible. What I got was an engrossing take: excellent screenplay, direction, acting. Outstanding casting, with one exception: Naomi Watts, a favorite, is shockingly miscast as Jackie Kennedy Onassis. I lived through this story in real time and this version is so boring. No one really knows what happens in any marriage but this rendition makes me really hope their marriage wasn’t this miserable. See more Bella L @Bella5 Apr 7 Some aspects were really well portrayed, such as the 90's vibe and fashion culture. The actor who played JFK Jnr was fabulous and came across as authentic but the actress who played Carolyn just annoyed me the whole time. I found her to be overly trying to be sexy and alluring but the coldness that went with it, took it away and the result was irritating. I have no concept if this was a true comparison to real life or not but she definitely spoiled it for me. I also did not find the D Hannah portrayal to be likeable but have always found her to be the opposite in interviews and acting roles.
