Instead of a rehash of an event that could be easily researched, Meltdown: Three Mile Island takes a familiar event from the past half-century and fills in people’s gaps in information and debunks commonly held beliefs about the event. Go to Full Review

Andrew K Sep 30 Tends to exaggerate details and make this incident look far worse then it was, causing a fear against Nuclear Energy, all because Netflix wanted to have a show like HBO's Chernobyl, a show that actually is a good watch. See more ava s @avast 12/09/2023 it was good until episode 3+4 See more al s 09/04/2022 Based on a true story. Three mile Island has lasting impacts to this day. See more 07/24/2022 Overly dramatic, over-drawn and one-sided. While it was interesting to learn about the sequence of events, it only contained 1-hour of content spread over four episodes. Because it only focused on the accused bad behavior of the power company, Nuclear Reg. Comm., and Bechtel (engineering company that did the clean-up), it comes across as a hit piece on nuclear power. This event was way too important to frame and present as a "good vs. evil" story. Life isn't that simple, and how we supply electricity to our society today is way too important an issue. The producers should be ashamed. See more Max S @Esquie 06/28/2022 Came across more as more of a one sided anti-nuclear PSA than an actual documentary. The show dramatizes the events without trying to ensure the narrative contains input from experts on the subject matter it's covering. It's a shame because the production value is good, but it seems like the creators chose drama over a thorough and well researched retelling of the events in question. See more 06/26/2022 Physicist here. Dramatic? Yes. Scientifically accurate? Not at all. Shows all sides of the story? Slightly, but when the people refering to actual scientific studies are depicted as wrong and even villians, and the normal fearful civillians are depicted as the ones properly being right (despite them obviously not knowing how radioactive material works). It becomes rather clear that this "documentary" isn't trying to shred more light on the accident, but really just trying to sell a certain stance. That being a very anti nuclear power stance. This is espicially sad, since it could easily have been made much more neutral, or perhaps even showed normal people, that nuclear power has the potential to be an enormous force for good, and even help solve the energi crisis of the future, and that the problems with nuclear power was a result of peoples irresponsibility, and not the technology itself. The fact that the "documentary" fails to paint this picture is honestly a bit surprising, given that Richard D. Parks himself shares this understanding... See more Read all reviews
