Unable to hear, speak, or wield a sword, Prince Bojji doesn’t seem like a typical heir to the throne—and his kingdom agrees. But his fateful encounter with Kage, a shadow on the ground, gives him his first true friend. The two set off on a grand adventure and, together, form a bond that can overcome any obstacle… even being king.

Keeping with the book and cover analogy, each character is initially presented as simplistic and two-dimensional, before being revealed to be emotionally complex and fully-fledged. Go to Full Review

Christopher F @RT52042674 07/19/2023 Other anime studios should take notice. This is the way anime should be done. The art fits the story perfectly, the storyline is great and the music is above average. This could be the most underrated anime out there right now. See more 04/11/2022 First it has 20 episodes, not 17. So....he's a shrimp that can't speak and hear. He's such a runt that when he was born he was only the size of half his mother's palm. Talk about an easy birth. A monster takes pity on him and helps him out and they go on adventures together. Not often the main protagonist in a Japanese anime has 3 physical handicaps(when visiting his sick dad, he's the size of the fathers hand) of mute/deaf/micro-sized and their partner is a bl*ck monster rather then an und*rage teenage g*rl with budding romance between the two. The animation for a 2021 release is horrifyingly bad. It brings me back to Kimba the wh*te lion quality of animation. Well maybe not that bad but at least in the same vein of 90's cartoons. I think because they didn't have sexy under ag*d g*rls to lure g*ys to watch it they slashed the budget but kept a refreshing storyline in hope people will watch to be entertained rather then sp*nk the monkey in their rooms in private. It's a cute animation that highlights the value of friendship, worth a look if you've got the time. See more 03/04/2022 It's such a fresh anime, the animation style may look 'childish-like' to some, but it just suits the whole anime so so much and it's beautiful, for me this is an absolute masterpiece, it makes me cry, laugh...feel all the emotions of some of the scenes basically I love Bojji and Kage so much I want to protect them since episode 1 it was clear to me that this anime was going to be in my top 5 and so far so good! I hope to see much more of it, definitely worth the watch, 10/10 See more 02/09/2022 Best anime of 2021. It has the potential to be a clasic. See more Read all reviews
