More shocking than the police neglect and stupidity is the lack of comprehension that David Green, head of homicide and major crime, Scotland 2019-23 appears to exhibit towards the woman who handed them the case on a platter. Go to Full Review

Gripping yet unsettling, it’s a psychological story that lingers beyond its runtime. Go to Full Review

Yes, Should I Marry A Murderer? is completely one-sided. But Caroline Muirhead is so compelling to listen to as she recalls this harrowing story that we hung on her every word. Go to Full Review

Shivam Singh G @RT35732493 1d I have been using Rotten tomatoes for the past 7-8 years. Never have I ever had the urge to post my review as strongly as I did today. Make no mistake Caroline Muirhead is a despicable entity. The whole premise is faulty. She did not suffer anything and at each and every point of time she is just someone who broke extreme trust of somebody. Granted that the somebody was bad and wrong. But he was not wrong to her. So her being a crybaby is just her trying to profit off the whole shindig. Let the family of the cyclist be the protagonist, but that won’t get as many views! Caroline Muirhead is an abuser of trust and a manipulator. Cannot assert that enough. Hated that woman and "documentary" through and through. Hopefully men will someday get a dialogue in today’s narrative. See more Alma F @RT56664109 3d God hated this woman. Totally agree with jamie and joy’s reviews. Who has these ideas of documentaries? Come to Argentina and you’ll have tons of documentaries way better than this crap. See more Michael Shane B @KVD1969 3d Should I Marry a Murderer? is a three-part Netflix true crime docuseries that follows Glasgow forensic pathologist Dr. Caroline Muirhead as she enters a whirlwind romance with gamekeeper Alexander "Sandy" McKellar. After a quick engagement, Sandy confesses that three years earlier, he and his twin brother hit and killed a cyclist, then buried the body on a remote Highland estate. Shaken by the revelation, Caroline risks her life to turn him in, famously marking the burial site with a Red Bull can to help investigators find the remains. The series depicts the harrowing nine months she spent undercover, living a double life and secretly recording Sandy to gather evidence while her mental health spiraled under the pressure. Rated TV-MA for graphic imagery and heavy themes, the documentary examines the psychological toll of her choice and the systematic failures she faced while seeking justice for the victim's family. See more Jake R. @spacecowboy 5d Entertaining but the woman clearly wanted attention from all of this which is a little annoying See more Pat M @Pmorph 5d Riveting story of a vulnerable women who falls deeply in love, faces issues with alcohol and drugs after finding out her fiancé killed a cyclist, hit and ran. Theres a lot of grey areas and the intensity of the story kept me glued to the screen . See more Mark M @Markymark333 May 6 This was made well and is utterly compelling. The poor young woman, Dr Muirhead was treated appallingly by the police and prosecution service in Scotland. She had no involvement in the crime and yet did 75% of the police’s work for them. She was clearly not a very well balanced young lady at the time, but highly intelligent. The lack of support she received was almost comical and medieval in its barbarity. One of the twins defence lawyers shown at the end of the last episode was chillingly callous about the position she found herself in. Really doesn’t inspire people to report things to the police. Police Scotland declined to take part in the series. Hmmm. The left wing Guardian review fails as usual to recognise the utter stupidity of the officials involved was just that, stupidity and arrogance rather than the knee jerk response of misogyny.
