Not a Must Watch
It felt a bit like a mishmash of other things I have seen, done well and put together rather than a really original story that makes me feel like I have to keep going". Go to Full Review

Ted Levine and especially Jennifer Jason Leigh excel as the parents of this strange brood, and creator Haley Z. Boston really knows her way around the visual grammar of horror. Go to Full Review

If you like atmospheric horror that blends dark comedy and prefer shows that lead to further conversations about what the heck you just watched, this is the series to binge this weekend. Go to Full Review

Something very bad did in fact happen, and it is currently streaming on Netflix. Well, maybe not very bad, but certainly not worth the time. Go to Full Review

The sense of paranoia—so contemporary, on the other hand—that surrounds every last minute of Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen is almost otherworldly. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Show creator Boston is no David Lynch, but, at its best, her dark kookiness marks her as a member of that late, great artist’s family tree. Go to Full Review

Fabio S @Datiscool 2d This is the perfect archetype of pretentious modern horror that sabotages its own premise in the name of empty formula. It attracts the viewer with a dense atmosphere and bizarre cliffhangers in the initial episodes, but completely collapses halfway through the season due to an amateurish and lazy script that stretches a film plot into eight long episodes. The narrative insults the audience's intelligence by forcing an artificial stupidity on the characters who just avoid having a logical conversation about documentary evidence of imminent death. The production grotesquely fails in the execution of basic filmmaking, accumulating unresolved loose ends. Technically, the series is a test of visual and auditory patience, hiding its lack of budget and substance in an illegible domestic darkness, where no one turns on the lights to simulate a false artistic depth. Between irritating abuses of predictable jumpscares based on loud audio thumps, and tired narrative crutches. See more Duncan S. @RT64439943 5d On the plus side, the first episode left much to be desired, but the succeeding episodes were genuinely really good -- up to the point where they decided to kill Rachel. They should have let it leap bloodlines and let her walk away. She could still have warned Jules on the way out the door which would have been a dramatic, but satisfying ending. The music was horrifyingly perfect and the acting was on point. Portia was a hilarious character throughout and a real fan favorite. See more KingKongUn Y. @KingKongUn 5d Some parts are actually hilarious. Definitely made for a group watch. Towards the last 2 episodes it got a little dull but picked up the pace in the last episode. Awesome story. Acting. Cinematography. The scene where the woman on the radio describes her accident was unsettling See more Mike C @the_fitdoctor 6d Slow burn. Good storyline. Ending was epic. Reminded me of final destination bloodline. See more Lynette W @LynHarm Jun 19 Quite dark, but there's something comedic in the deliberate overload of foreshadowing, and the couple's dynamic seems interesting. See more Roberto R @roby500 Jun 19 Imbarazzante, ridicolo, patetico, un offesa al pubblico. Una serie indecente. See more Read all reviews
