It's not focused on love story only, but accurately combined with diverse character's stories and main narration. Actors are gifted and play their roles perfectly, so I could fully immerse myself into story from the very first episodes. Story takes place in Istanbul in 1950s, Matilda got freed out of prison for murder and tries to connect with her teenage rebellious daughter, Rasel, who has already got into trouble. Along with their attempts to know each other, Matilda carries the weight of unpleasant events happened in her family in the past and finds out new details about it. Being forced to stay and work at the night club, Matilda soon gets a promotion and supports young star Selim through his career as a singer. Selim is a talented young man who became a world-famous artist, but he was not spared with issues that arise when you become well-known in a short time. Due to the stubbornness of Matilda's daughter and puzzling family history their ability to find understanding with each other doesn't turn out smoothly. ( I can't say if Rasel choose a wrong path at some moment or was courageous to protect her own love, but she definitely is a wonderful and unique young woman) All in all, there're lots of other characters whose stories are told and if you continue watching the show, you'll change your mind how you feel about them for the hundreds of times. The series evoked all spectrum of emotions in me, though I'm not a sensitive person at all, but I love historic and elegant drama series and "The Club" is all about that! P.S.
