"Dangerous Davies" is one offbeat flatfoot who takes the stuff at the bottom of the pile - the cases nobody wants. In his usual comical way, Davies and good friend Mod help unfold events that usual end up in disaster, but they still manage to nab their man. Maybe if Davies wasn't such a nice guy, his coworkers would take him a tad more seriously.

Ted B @Movieaddicted 06/24/2024 3.5 stars; Not your standard English detective story. Dangerous Davies would never be mistaken for Sherlock Holmes. He is just your average, run-of-the-mill copper detective who always gets the job done. His boss hates his job, and he hates Dangerous even more. Peter Davison plays the lead role. He does an outstanding job performing the role with the right level of comedic seriousness. His character lacks the genius of a Poirot, but Davison compels the audience to pull for him anyway because he is so nice, and instead solves the crime through perseverance. See more Read all reviews
