Licking his wounds following a messy divorce, Tom Amross and his two daughters, Kenlon and Elissa, return to his hometown of St. Paul, Minn., in search of a fresh start. Tom quickly lands a producing gig with old pal Charlie Dickerson, host of the long-running morning TV show "Breakfast With Charlie." Tom's idea to boost ratings -- bringing in free-thinking, much younger Florence Madison as a co-host -- ruffles a bunch of feathers around the set, including those of skeptical new station manager Tanya Cole. Fortunately, Tom can always bask in the praise of brown-nosing production assistant Jonathan Summers, who regards Tom as "the man who helped re-invent daytime television."

In movies like ''True Lies,'' Mr. Arnold has shown that he can be a solid comic sidekick, but ''The Tom Show'' is floundering for a tone. More of an edge would help. Go to Full Review

[Tom] Arnold attempts yet another comeback with this instantly wearying romp in which he plays a character something like himself. Go to Full Review

[Tom] Arnold and partner [J.J.] Wall craft themselves a pedestrian show that can't decide if it wants to be hip or poignant. It winds up instead being merely ridiculous. Go to Full Review
