Critic Consensus: Tracey Ullman's Show will entertain those familiar with British cultural politics and social mores, or anyone who's a fan of Dames Judy Dench and Maggie Smith.

I got the impression that some sketches, especially the musical numbers, were more fun to film than they were to watch. Still, Ullman throws herself at it with gusto and it's iconoclastic enough to elicit gasps as well as giggles.
[Ullman's] performance is remarkable, not least of all for the way she vanishes into each character. She is the "Clone Club," and I can imagine her as the Three Faces of Eve, the 12 Angry Men, and the Dirty Dozen just as easily.
It was the impressions of familiar faces that worked the best, while the skits featuring ordinary people were the weaker element.
What marks out most of the sketches is that Ullman gives enough of a twist to lift characters we may have seen mined for comedy elsewhere...
I'm not precious or prickly when it comes to jokes about Scotland - as long as it's funny then I'll laugh - but this was trash.
