Piotr C Nov 21 Pacing The show isn’t fast-paced at all — it feels slow. Scenes drag on, conversations repeat the same point several times, and many episodes could easily be half as long without losing anything. The stretched-out dialogue is probably the biggest reason the show feels like it’s spinning its wheels. Dialogue It’s drawn out to the limit. Characters often explain things that the viewer already understands, talk in circles, or give monologues that feel disconnected from the emotional moment. It’s classic Tyler Perry writing — theatrical rather than natural. Time Continuity Completely questionable. Some scenes look like they happen minutes apart when days should have passed, while other plotlines jump in time with no transition. It breaks immersion and makes some events feel unearned or rushed while the dialogue itself stays slow. Character Depth Flat as a pancake is the perfect description. Most characters operate on one trait or one emotional loop (the victim, the angry one, the mysterious one). They rarely grow, learn, or change. Motivations also feel inconsistent — they do things because the script needs them to, not because it fits who they are. While watching sometimes you are thinking and asking yourself why this show has you sitting on the edge of your seat and you try not to move until you have watched every available episode in the season. It is that good and so intense, so exciting, so entertaining. Sometimes you don't like what you are watching in a scene but you still sit there watching until the scene or episode ends. Love the fact you are showing that it doesn't matter where you start but how you end up go Kimmie❤️ See more J W Sep 22 Didn’t think much of the first half of season one - really not my thing, yet for some mindless reason I persevered and by season two I’m utterly hooked - it’s brilliant- on par with ‘breaking bad’. One must persevere with it to understand season two - then you will be rewarded with unexpected twists, wonderful script writing and character development, humour, just great, I promise.
