Project Hail Mary (2026) 94% 4.5/5 EDIT “You feel a synergy at hand as Lord and Miller have kept their unique voice as filmmakers while honoring Andy Weir’s novel. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Mar 10, 2026 Full Review Hoppers (2026) 93% 3/5 EDIT “Hoppers immediately hits the heartstrings with its grandmother/granddaughter story line. It brought me right back to all of the special core memories I have with my grandparents. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Mar 3, 2026 Full Review Paul McCartney: Man on the Run (2025) 100% 3.5/5 EDIT “There’s vulnerability on display as [Paul] works through the setbacks, the hard times, and learns how to let it go and use enthusiasm to get things done...this insight is a reminder that this self-doubt can happen to anyone, including a Beatle.” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Feb 27, 2026 Full Review Scream 7 (2026) 31% 3.5/5 EDIT “Scream 7 is a solid entry in the franchise thanks to its terrific opening sequence and a strong mother daughter relationship fractured by trauma. It could have been tighter if there was as solid foundation when it was announced.” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Feb 27, 2026 Full Review EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert (2025) 96% 4/5 EDIT “There are no new interviews or reflections but rather acts as a celebration for one of the greatest artists of all time. Any Elvis fan, new or old, will be wowed by what Baz Luhrmann and his team have accomplished with this documentary.” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Feb 25, 2026 Full Review Wuthering Heights (2026) 57% 2/5 EDIT “I felt like Emerald Fennel was far more concerned with the visual storytelling than the text whether it was Emily Bronte’s words or even her own screenplay.” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Feb 17, 2026 Full Review Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die (2025) 83% 3.5/5 EDIT “I was brought right back to watching low-grade sci-fi films on cable as Verbinski pays homage to filmmakers like Ray Harryhausen. That’s the angle of which to watch Good Luck Have Fun Don’t Die.” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Feb 12, 2026 Full Review Crime 101 (2026) 88% 4/5 EDIT “The film is based on the novella by Don Winslow and [Bart] Layton never over explains the plot, the character relations or teases what’s to come. He trusts us to listen to what’s being said, what’s NOT being said and put the pieces together ourselves.” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Feb 11, 2026 Full Review The Rip (2026) 79% 4/5 EDIT “The Rip would have made for a great theatrical release as a summer blockbuster, but there’s something to be said about a mindless entertaining night in on your couch.” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Jan 20, 2026 Full Review The Testament of Ann Lee (2025) 85% 3/5 EDIT “While The Testament of Ann Lee is technically executed well with a strong performance from Seyfried, I never felt emotionally connected to the material. I felt like I was at a distance watching it unfold without being in the story. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Jan 15, 2026 Full Review The Housemaid (2025) 73% 4/5 EDIT “Playing Nina Winchester allows Seyfried to let it rip and be completely unhinged...We rarely get to see Seyfried in a role like this, but she handles it with ease with the high wire act that it is. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Jan 7, 2026 Full Review Song Sung Blue (2025) 77% 3.5/5 EDIT “Hudson and Jackman bring so much joy to this film - its infectious. Writer/director Craig Brewer taps into this and wants to bring that joy to the audience with this love story. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Dec 23, 2025 Full Review Blue Moon (2025) 90% 3.5/5 EDIT “This is a small and intimate film that probably caters to a niche audience. It’s fascinating to sit and understand what drove some of the greatest songs of the Great American Songbook.” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Dec 22, 2025 Full Review Train Dreams (2025) 94% 4.5/5 EDIT “Train Dreams is an emotional wallop of a film that is somewhat indescribable as I talk about it. You have to trust that it will sneak up on you and hit you when you least expect it.” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Dec 22, 2025 Full Review Goodbye June (2025) 65% 3/5 EDIT “Goodbye June is a tender film. Director Kate Winslet has a keen eye on how to tell this story so her audience can understand and relate to these characters. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Dec 20, 2025 Full Review Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025) 66% 3/5 EDIT “Avatar has never looked better, but after three movies and nine hours, I expected more of a build, greater tension, new dynamics, but Fire and Ash felt like more of the same.” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Dec 16, 2025 Full Review Merrily We Roll Along (2025) 95% 4.5/5 EDIT “Friedman has a winning production thanks to her direction and the incredible cast she assembled. Jonathan Groff is one of our great leading men of Broadway who sings Sondheim in effortless fashion. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Dec 5, 2025 Full Review Marty Supreme (2025) 93% 4.5/5 EDIT “Safdie has written a wordy screenplay, and Timothee Chalamet handles it all with ease in his go for broke performance. He knows the depth of the role and will take it wherever he and Safdie are willing to take Marty. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Dec 4, 2025 Full Review Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (2025) 92% 4/5 EDIT “Glenn Close has a fantastic entrance chewing up every ounce of screentime as a kooky church lady. She’s worthy of an Oscar nomination for her work here. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Dec 2, 2025 Full Review Zootopia 2 (2025) 91% 4/5 EDIT “Byron Howard and Jared Bush have a smart sequel on their hands as they’ve retained everything we loved about the first film without feeling like it’s a total rehash. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Nov 29, 2025 Full Review Jay Kelly (2025) 75% 4.5/5 EDIT “This is probably the most introspective Clooney has ever been on screen. It’s one of the best performances, if not the best, of his career. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Nov 26, 2025 Full Review Is This Thing On? (2025) 87% 4/5 EDIT “[Arnett] gives a career-best performance never mugging too hard or working too hard for a laugh. He’s honest with the messiness Alex finds himself in post-divorce. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Nov 26, 2025 Full Review Keeper (2025) 49% 2.5/5 EDIT “It’s a little over an hour in when [Osgood] Perkins and [Nick] Lepard finally let it rip and the story becomes freakish in nature. It borders on feeling like two different movies. ” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Nov 25, 2025 Full Review Rental Family (2025) 87% 4/5 EDIT “Director Hikari asks you to go in with an open mind and an open heart. Its extremely heartwarming and exactly the movie you may need to put a little extra inspiration in your day.” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Nov 20, 2025 Full Review Wicked: For Good (2025) 66% 4/5 EDIT “By nature of this being the second part, Wicked For Good works as a conclusion to the story instead of being its own story. It comes with a beautiful ending with a final image to tie everything together.” – Paul's Trip to the Movies Nov 19, 2025 Full Review
