There’s little lightness, little love, and sex seems like a device to create more characters to kill, with blood and fire galore. Go to Full Review

All in all, House of the Dragon is a thrilling, emotionally devastating, and a visually stunning chapter in the saga. It delivers everything fans hoped for: spectacle, heartbreak, political intrigue, and dragons. Go to Full Review

There is nothing on television as lavish, knotty or spectacularly expensive-looking. Even when it makes you want to put your head through a wall. Go to Full Review

House of the Dragon is learning from Game of Thrones’ mistakes. I wish it weren’t. Go to Full Review

The most aggravating aspect of House of the Dragon’s third season... wasn’t that it was bad, it was that it showed all-too brief flashes of creative brilliance that came and went quicker than you can say, “Dracarys.” Go to Full Review

Ry N @RyGuy 18 hrs ago Rhaenyra reclaims King’s Landing with great loss and introduces Ormund Hightower as a new threat. See more Noah S @Noah2002 1 day ago Definitely returning to form from season 2, but a lot of drags to get us to the good stuff. Gullet and Tumbleton battles were spectacular, and Ormund Hightower was probably the best part of this season. See more John T @JohnT86 Sep 7, 2026 Season 3 could have been retitled House of Draggin’. In 2026 great production values aren’t enough anymore. It doesn’t cover up poor fundamentals. Writing, editing, and directing are essential for good storytelling. If by the time you get to the big battle at the end of the season, but the audience doesn’t really care what happens, you have failed. See more Katrine C @Klyde Sep 7, 2026 The dragons are the stars with Emma Darcy and Matt Smith. Everything else is just kinda meh. See more SunShine M @RT95082629 Sep 6, 2026 Season 3 is an absolute waste of time. The characters constantly contradict themselves, the episodes are filled with filler, and there’s an overwhelming amount of dialogue that, honestly, leads absolutely nowhere. I don’t understand the point of building characters and situations that were initially interesting and complex, only to turn them into something so circumstantial and hollow. It’s painfully obvious that the production is more focused on making money and stretching the show out for as many seasons as possible, regardless of how terrible the content becomes.
