When Tim Lake (Domhnall Gleeson) is 21, his father (Bill Nighy) tells him a secret: The men in their family can travel through time. Although he can't change history, Tim resolves to improve his life by getting a girlfriend. He meets Mary (Rachel McAdams), falls in love and finally wins her heart via time-travel and a little cunning. However, as his unusual life progresses, Tim finds that his special ability can't shield him and those he loves from the problems of ordinary life.

Sure, some of it is stereotypical but the second half of the film was devastating. The script turns from romantic comedy to a father-son relationship that is charming, yet heartbreaking at the same time.

Nice but dim Tim keeps getting into the broom cupboard in the family's ridiculously huge house by the sea to go back briefly in time (only sci fi secret available to men for some reason) to situations he could have done better in- featuring his handling of romantic situations where he is clearly lacking in this department. Even Bill Nighy can't rescue this awful production. It's all so toe cringingly lame and on a par with a school production on parents evening. We can even predict every scene coming up a mile off. Why did I waste an hour and a half watching this???

A really beutifull movie ive ever watch. Its not a basic love story, it gives me a lot of kind of emotions while watching it. Already rewatch it multiple times, and still give me the same experience like first time.
