A cena no Rio Hudson, com Mike pescando com dinamite e resolvendo tudo no carisma quando a polícia chega, resume a proposta: não há realismo, há entretenimento. O Crocodilo segue como eixo central. Simples, direto e naturalmente engraçado, Paul Hogan sustenta quase toda a narrativa. Sue continua frágil, prejudicada por atuação limitada e roteiro pouco interessado em desenvolvê-la. Os vilões são o ponto mais fraco: não intimidam e beiram o patético, enfraquecendo o conflito. O contraste entre Nova York e Austrália permanece. A cidade é menos inspirada; já o retorno ao território australiano devolve ritmo e energia. Nunca sentimos o herói realmente em perigo — e isso faz parte da diversão. Ri mais que no primeiro. Crocodile Dundee was fun for sure, and this was also fun. However, in this one Mick goes back to Australia from the United States and really gets in his element when the bad guys are hunting him. Even though he doesn't kill anyone, he truly become The Predator of Australia in this film the way he basically torches his enemies. It is a ton of fun.
