May 24, 2016I heard very good things about this movie and jumped on the opportunity to watch it when it was put on Netflix. After watching, I have to say I was impressed with Sarsgaard. His cold delivery as Stanley Milgram really worked. Milgram's story about his experiment was very captivating; I often found myself wondering how I would respond if put in similar situations. Another really cool thing about this movie was the fourth wall breaking. Sarsgaard acted as both star and narrator, and it worked well in my opinion. Though the story was interesting, I have to say that the execution didn't always work for me. There were times, especially towards the end, where the movie started to feel a bit sloppy. Also, this movie features some of the worst green screen work I've seen in recent memory. If you enjoy movies about the human psyche or just want to see a solid performance, go give Experimenter a watch.Ben B Super Reviewer

May 16, 2016The stylized direction is sometimes unnecessarily distracting (even though the breaking of the fourth wall does work) and in some occasions the narrative seems to digress, but still this is a compelling account of a fascinating experiment that says a lot about human nature.Carlos M Super Reviewer

Apr 17, 2016I really enjoyed this casual (very nearly offhand) look at how group think affects all of our lives. An important consideration packaged in a coffeehouse format for ease of consumption.Kevin M. W Super Reviewer

Feb 14, 2016One of the most fascinating films I have ever seen. As someone who absolutely loves psychology and is completely enraptured by it, I was on the edge of my seat the entire film. If you are even remotely interested in the subject matter or this movie, you absolutely need to check it out ASAP. You will not regret it.Stephen S Super Reviewer
