When the president (Carlos Estevez) of the United States has a mission that would be impossible for just any mortal man, the person he needs is Machete (Danny Trejo), a knife-wielding ex-Federale agent. Machete's mission is to take down Voz (Mel Gibson), a madman revolutionary and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has come up with a plot to start a nuclear war. Facing death at every turn from assassins, Machete pulls out all of his skills to get the job done.

This ignores the first rule of proper B-movie exploitation cinema - that anything over 89 minutes is just excess baggage, of which Machete Kills has plenty. Still, at least it's authentic in one respect - the trailer is better than the film.

Vergara, whom most viewers are accustomed to seeing as the loveable, hot matriarch in “Modern Family,” steals the movie as the homicidal, man-hating, rage-filled whorehouse madam. She feels like the most authentic, Rodriguez character in the film

Ok, so here's the thing: I know this movie got really bad ratings on both sides, but I really don't understand why. It's like the most ultimate action-packed thing you could ever bring to the screen. AND done in Grindhouse style! When I watched both Machete's on the same day, I was just filled with so much joy afterward because they were just sooo awesome. You can't take these movies seriously. You just have to let yourself go and have a blast. Highly recommend you watch both together. And of course, the cast is stacked higher than the empire state building.

To the people hating on the movie for being too grotesque, I would love to say that IT IS THE THEME. I myself watched it 5 times and I was very intrigued at how iconic all the roles were. Even though the quality could be much better, it's absolutely good enough at the battles and scenes. It's a 18+ movie indeed and so it's not for weak hearted people. There was fierce people like Sofia, Gaga, Amber, even we got a glimpse of Beyonce and Elon Musk. Even though the Plot could be better, it's good enough to be thrilling
