Is there enough comedy to overcome the shortfalls of the film? Probably not: while historical context can forgive a certain amount of the negative depictions, there is no pressing urge to forgive the weakness of the film in general. Go to Full Review

A rube Western comedy romance with no kick, that's set in the late 18th-century frontier of Kentucky. Go to Full Review

En resumen si quieres pasar un buen rato véala.👍😅 See more Jeff S @jeffstone 03/05/2024 Most light-hearted film good for some laughs. See more 07/07/2023 Eleanor Parker was funny as heck in this one. Yes you will like it. I highly recommend it, James Welch, Henderson, Arkansas, July 7, 2023. See more ashley h @ashleyhobgood87 02/23/2018 Many Rivers to Cross is a boring film. It is about a 18th century trapper who finds himself entrapped into marriage by Mary Stuart Cherne. Robert Taylor and Eleanor Parker give terrible performance. The screenplay is badly written. Roy Rowland did a horrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture. Peaches in the summertime, apples in the fall Till I find the gal I want, a' gonna have none at all'... Very Witty Frontier Comedy--Played absolutely over the top, to the hilt, right down to the final scene. Eleanor Parker has never been better and this early battle of the sexes, makes the on screen chemistry between she and the reluctant Robert Taylor, so much more fun... Gumptious Little Feist!!
