If this seventh iteration of the Despicable Me franchise isn’t a laugh riot, it’s at least a chuckle-fest. Go to Full Review

Light on sentiment but rich in visual invention, this seventh entry from the Despicable Me sequence is easily one of the franchise’s most entertaining entries, and the best stand-alone Minions picture. Go to Full Review

This is a kid's film; everything else is a bonus to keep the adults entertained. That this bonus is a heartfelt homage to cinema, Hollywood's Golden Age, and the romanticised notion of the studio system is a pleasant surprise. [Full review in Spanish]. Go to Full Review

The screenplay as well as the direction convey this genuine affection for the art of movie making and cinema history. When you really stop to think about it, the pairing of the Minions with silent era Hollywood actually makes perfect sense. Go to Full Review

If this isn’t the final nail in the coffin that has slowly readied itself for burial — filled with the hope of us naive yearners for consistent and intelligent slapstick opportunities — then it's unclear what exactly will do it. Go to Full Review

Karl 2h Really bad movie. Overall bad story line. Can’t really say anything good about it. Total waste of money. Horrible, horrible, horrible. See more Sam 3h A few funny moments but no real plot. I was rooting for the monsters to eat the minions so we could go. See more Magda 4h Entertaining and very funny! See more Woody 5h This movie was a complete waste of money. They had so much to live up to, especially with the previous movies setting such a high standard, and somehow they managed to throw all of that away. The story felt rushed and uninspired, the jokes didnt land nearly as often as they used to, and a lot of the charm that made the earlier movies so enjoyable was missing. It seemed like they relied too much on familiar characters without giving them anything interesting to do. The pacing was all over the place, and by the end I was just waiting for it to be over. It honestly felt like a missed opportunity, because this could have been something great if more effort had gone into the writing and the overall story. I went in excited and left disappointed. Definitely not worth the ticket price. See more Fernando 5h One of the better films made by Illumination. I really appreciate how much this movie loves the concept of filmmaking See more Jeremy 7h Watchable but worst minions movie yet. See more Read all reviews
