this movie has always spoken to me, im not entirely sure why. but i feel like from the beginning Edward cared for Vivian but also used her in a sense. I did appreciate the fact that he stood up to us life long friend for her. But I wish we could have gotten more in the ending. I always find myself rewatching though 🎬

Cute but also objectifying and insulting in some aspects. Realistically the wealthy dude would’ve just used the woman and that be that, this movie just romanticized prostitution and men’s creepy fantasies of it. Do I like the movie? Yes, is it still slightly weird and unrealistic? Absolutely yes.

This is my absolute favorite movie of all time! The chemistry is insane. They are the perfect pair. Julia Roberts is so beautiful and has a way of making you fall in love with her in this movie. She is a little lost and trying to find her way, she doesn't know how to be rich or fancy, but she slowly learns how as the rich guy needs a date for the week. He is patient with her as she learns how to be fancy and proper. Then, as we all do, he falls for her, but she wants to live out her fantasy, not just be second in his life to his job...
