Mission Commander Kate Bowman is the pilot and commander of the most important mission of the 21st century: saving the human race. It's 2050, earth is dying, and colonizing Mars is the only alternative to obliteration. Bowman and her crew have made this journey to investigate what went wrong with the malfunctioning Mars Terraforming Project, and to repair it. Establishes an amusingly nasty pecking order once it reaches the surface and even morphs into "Predator" for a hot minute. But it generally bears the anonymous aesthetics of an assembly-line product and is the uglier of 2000's dueling Mars films.

Part of the late '90s/early 2000s sci-fi craze, Red Planet feels slapped together in every aspect. The CGI has aged terribly, the script is pretty much useless and the characters are as deep as puddles of water. There are sparks here and there that could have been developed into a decent story, but I guess nobody cared enough.

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são mais ou menos, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom
