Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2017)
Critic Consensus: Resident Evil: The Final Chapter may prove mind-numbingly chaotic for the unconverted, but for fans of the venerable franchise, it offers a fittingly kinetic conclusion to its violent post-apocalyptic saga.

Critic Reviews for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
Anderson is an artist of zombiod head-shots and secret testing facilities, and Jovovich is his muse. But they can't all be masterpieces, can they?
While the franchise has slackened into dependably dumb post-apocalyptic thrills, star Milla Jovovich has only gotten better, seasoning her long-legged athleticism with a commanding stare.
Jovovich has found her niche as the Brunhilde of movies, the shield maiden, the strong and vigilant Valkyrie who doesn't need a man to save the world until the next apocalypse.
The climax makes for a satisfying conclusion to the franchise-an ending which this writer expects, and even hopes, all concerned will studiously ignore when they get around to making the next one.
Audience Reviews for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
For a B movie its not so bad. Once again the star is the reason to watch, although the director has a few tricks up his sleeve. That Anderson resorts to quick cutting every action scene gets fuggin annoying.
Leave your brain behind before you step into the cinema hall. Only for the fans. Idiotic violence that is a sheer waste of time.
A very good ending to the Resident Evil movies, Although I am disappointed it's all ended I'm happy in a way as they have basically bled the story dry and plot holes were becoming the norm for the series, It's fast paced from the word go as we see Washington DC demolished as the final stand against the undead was all just a trap, But again we have main cast from the previous films that don't even get a mention as Jill, Ada and Leon just vanish seeing as its the last film all can think of is that they all died in Washington but it was nice to see Claire back and her disappearance was explained although she didn't even mention her brother who went missing the same time as her, The story was good and had one hell of a shocking twist that changed everything about the films, But again it does have a few plot holes that ruin it and Wesker was underused which disappointed me, The action was very good but the Way it was filmed really ruined it as one zombie kill or punch has to be shown from about 3 different angles and it can be hard to watch at times, The effects were very good especially on the zombie horde attack scene, I can't comment on the 3D as I watched the 2D version, Although it's called the final Chapter it's left open for another film if they wanted to do one, If you're a fan of the previous films this will not disappoint.
