Audience Reviews for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys

I really hate it when they take good material and make it crap. This is no exception. The sequel to the famous Rudolph movie is one of the worst animated films I've seen to date. Sloppy animation and a lack lustered story make it just boring. Rudolph 2 (that's what I'm calling it) sort of picks up where the last film ended. Rudolph is a celebrity now at the North Pole, and he's still not happy. He wants to get a nose job to fix his shiny nose and become like the others. Before that, he has to help the characters from the last film stop the evil Toy Taker (very creative name), from stealing all the toys in the world before Christmas. Where do I begin with this one? Animation is less impressive than a college student's animation project, with clear gaps and unfinished animation. Everything is a mess, with a boring script, a ridiculous lack of heart, and a less than interesting plot. Also, I don't know if anyone else will say this, but I really miss Burl Ives' presence. Don't get me wrong, I like Tony Bennett, but Ives is the king of Christmas songs. Thus, he's thoroughly missed. Overall, JUST SKIP THIS FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR SANITY, CHILDHOOD, AND FUTURE FAMILY! (Real rating: 1% for Tony Bennett)

Absolute junk! Edging up a classic does not mean success. Everything about the movie is awful. The animation is atrocious, I don't know what it is about new mediums, but whenever a new animation technique is discovered, a bunch of knock-offs come up, using limited technology and really end up looking terrible. The script was dead. Nothing funny nor entertaining was said in the film. Rounding up well known actors throwing them in animated film with no direction and a terrible script, is a perfect mix for disaster. I really did not like the movie. I didn't give it a 0 because at least it was better than Doogal, oh, and my son liked it for some unknown reason.

Another really bad sequel. It had some really bad moments and boring characters. The only scene I enjoyed was the tearjerker song that explains the villain's motives. Not worth a watch.
