In 1630 New England, panic and despair envelops a farmer, his wife and their children when youngest son Samuel suddenly vanishes. The family blames Thomasin, the oldest daughter who was watching the boy at the time of his disappearance. With suspicion and paranoia mounting, twin siblings Mercy and Jonas suspect Thomasin of witchcraft, testing the clan's faith, loyalty and love to one another.

Hella creepy, especially at the end. I love the dialogue and especially the fact that a lot of the dialogue was lifted from actual period journals and testimonies. Really well-made movie. Definitely put it on scary movie night list.

Equal part period piece and well paced film. I wouldn't designate it as horror in so much it deals with devout religious undertones and all that is freaky and unseen.

literally the stupidest, boring, and most confusing horror movie. Many plot holes, and the movie took about half way into it before anything SLIGHTLY interesting happened. I cannot believe people like it, there was nothing special that stood out from other witch movies and it made no sense.
