Stryker (Brian Cox), a villainous former Army commander, holds the key to Wolverine's (Hugh Jackman) past and the future of the X-Men. This threat re-ignites the call for a mutant registration act. X2 is pretty much all that you’d ever want out of a comic book movie -- it’s smart, it’s breathlessly paced, the characters have at least 2 1/2 dimensions, and the action sequences are jaw-droppers, even on the small screen.

This is my favorite of the original X-Men trilogy! Action packed, thematically deep. And having some of the most wonderfully distinct music in the franchise. X2 is a nearly perfect experience! Even if it still doesn't fully embrace the iconic look of the X-Men.

The opening sequence is nothing short of a cinematic masterpiece for its time. However, while the acting and CGI are also miles ahead of its predecessor, the plot feels a bit lost in some places. None the less, the second entry into this X-Men trilogy is definitely worth a watch if you have time on your hands.

Great movie, although I prefer the first one more (not that anyone asked or that that makes this movie bad or anything). I really liked that the X-Men and the Brotherhood had to work together to take on a common foe. The dynamics between Logan and William Stryker are also very interesting to see, especially with how Stryker knows about Logan’s past. The Cerebro plays an important role in this movie. The way Mystique enables Magneto to break out of prison is one of my favorite scenes in the movie. It’s so smart, only a genius could come up with it. Maybe I missed this, but what’s Pyro’s reason for joining Magneto? Is it because Magneto told him he’s the best among the X-Men? If it is, then wow, he’s very easy

Better than the original in every aspect. And the original was cinema. Not much more to say. NSYNC being on the radio is so cool to hear now that Deadpool and Wolverine has been out for a while.

X2 (2003) This second part of the mutants' story continues at its peak, just like the first. However, the script repeatedly positions Wolverine as the main character of the film, sidelining the other X-Men. The movie is quite long, but every detail is very important to the story.
