Rob v @RT18991680 Jul 23 Not the first series on the Bermuda Triangle (and it won’t be the last). It’s fun to watch, and that’s about it, ‘chewing gum for the eyes’. The cast is the usual batch of adventurers, ex-military and, of course, the captain, and as always thing are grossly exaggerated; ‘giant waves’ when you see some small rollers, it’s always ‘too deep’ or ‘too dangerous’, and when they finally find something, it’s not the thing they were looking for, or they make assumptions that are way over the top, or incorrect. The fact that the (clearly playing their part) ‘experts’ never (can) give a straight answer says it all. Also, ‘the visibility in the Bermuda Triangle is notoriously bad’, which is funny, as you can see for yourself that the water is crystal clear (and nicely filmed by the third unknown diver). If you want bad visibility, try the North Sea! Apart from that, they never seem to wander far of the coast, as you can always see the shoreline. The locals play nicely along and the cast have stories to tell. It’s well known why planes and boats dissapear in the BT (and not only there..), a combination of natural phenomena, human error, and the power of storytelling. As I live on an island with a rich fisherman history and a lot of professional divers, they will be the first to explain how hard it is to find something on the bottom of the sea; in 1970 one of the fleets fishing vessels sank during a storm, after which there were many attempts to find it back. It took 54 years (the ship, the TX26 was found in 2024) and many dives to locate it. This to show the difference between fiction and reality… See more Read all reviews
