Teenage Carter Stevens is confident, pretty and popular, traits that are usually handy in navigating high-school life. But nothing prepares her for the punch-to-the-gut news that comes out of an investigation into a party: Carter was abducted when she was 3, and the teen must return to her biological family, who thought she was gone forever. As Carter tries to forge a new life with her real mom and dad, a twin sister and a younger brother -- and adjust to a new school and town -- she vows to protect the single mother who raised her and is now sought by police.

What sounds like a highly provocative concept quickly devolves into a standard-issue, ABC Family-style soap. Go to Full Review

02/25/2015 Much to my surprise, I have been completely swept up in this show. It's got an utterly unique storyline and some very interesting plot twists. With these actors, you find yourself waffling from empathy to suspicion and back again. Well worth the time. I am so looking forward to Season 2. See more 09/16/2014 Finding Carter is a captivating new TV series to MTV about a sixteen year old girl who has recently found out that she was kidnapped at age three. As the series progresses it shows the hardships of Carter getting along with her real mother whom she says took her away from her "mom" aka her kidnapper. Carter faces many difficulties throughout the show and always end with the audience wanting to know more. I'm hooked and after each episode each week I am left wanting to know more and dying to see the following weeks episode. The show has such a diverse group of characters and a constantly twisting plot leaving the viewers wanting more. See more 08/09/2014 I love it! cant stop watching it! See more 07/15/2014 Finding Carter is a show geared towards teens (but totally not limited to just a teen audience) that I'm not embarrassed to watch. I hope they keep the show as strong it is through (hopefully) a handful of seasons. See more Read all reviews
