Critics Consensus

The characters Fleishman Is in Trouble spends time with aren't the most likable bunch, but the series examines their foibles with compelling insight -- and they're brought to life by a terrific trio of stars.

Love CD however this is terrible. First CD does not have a major role. Second the drip drip of weekly episodes makes it hard to follow. I am so dissapointed.

This was so addicting that I was mad at Hulu for not letting me binge it all at once. So many relatable scenes in this - the characters , while kind of whining their way through life were interesting and well portrayed . Loved the narration , almost loved the writing , loved the actors including my " love to hate " go to Claire Danes , who does a great job at being the most annoying . I wanted this to go a bit faster and deeper each episode and now I want more seasons of it. It's hard so say what makes it so special but honestly , I say the casting is the key here. MORE MORE MORE !

Addictive and emotional. Wish I could binge this one but it's making Thursdays something to look forward to.

My feelings of this show mirror the relationship between the divorcees- it was great at first but I soon realized we are not compatible. It quickly feels redundant and boring. Half way through episode 2 you'll be yelling at the screen "do something! Anything". This series feels mundane and insignificant.

So far, so good. Had several good laughs. The narration is humorous and the banter between the characters is witty and fast paced. Jesse Eisenberg is entertaining as usual, but you need to pay attention to his quick pace. I suppose that is what makes him uniquely funny. Definitely an ADULT comedy.

Clever and Fun, Great cast - A Must See!
  • Nov 19, 2022
This show is fresh, smart and insightful. Witty performances and writing. Entertaining and intelligent. Having read the book, I know that these first few episodes are artifice and obfuscation, hiding the real truth of where it's going—but even then, these episodes still manage to engage and delight on their own (or our narrator, Libby's) terms… A standout series in a very busy year.

An absolutely amazing cast in a story about a pure deconstruction of love to hate which we've seen unfold in Marriage Story. This somehow feels like a fresh take on the same set up which is enticed more with the contrast between rich and poor, pretentious and genuine, and most importantly the lack of dichotomy between love and resentment.

I really like this so far, very fun and witty. So curious to see where it goes! I'm in!

Insufferably bad. Poorly cast and bad writing to boot. And what a waste of NYC. They are stuck in so few decent locations. The relationships are too fake. and here's a hint: don't show me a character at the workplace unless the show is a procedural. I don't care that he's a doctor and he has a group of students following him around. Get him away from the hospital and into the open and stay away from the hospital. Swing and a miss, and it's a shame, because with all the talent on screen, there seems to be a ton lacking behind the camera
