The show has a consistently strong moral core (leaving aside the eternal debate over who defines morality in the first place...) Go to Full Review

Billi B @RT88061480 Jul 11 The fighting scenes are atrocious. Apparently 10 turks can easily defeat 100 templars or Mongol fighters with ease. Give me a break. The series other than that is not bad. Global military hegemony films set against the backdrop of world history in which the Great Mongol Empire, boasting the world's strongest army, colonially ruled the Seljuk Empire. Dirilis: Ertugrul is a Turkish war historical drama set against the backdrop of world history in which the army of the Great Mongol Empire, flaunting the world's strongest military, conquered and colonially ruled the Seljuk Empire. It is a superb work, and its cavalry battle scenes are outstanding. The protagonist, Ertugrul Gazi, is the military emperor of the Seljuk Empire and the father of the Ottoman Empire. However, Ertugrul Gazi despairs at the fact that his empire, the Seljuk Empire, has been reduced to a military colony of the Great Mongol Empire, and he repeatedly launches wars of independence but fails each time, ultimately unable to liberate the Seljuk Empire from Mongol colonial rule. Nevertheless, Ertugrul Gazi's will for independence is inherited by his son Osman Gazi, who goes on to found the Ottoman Empire. In the sequel series 'Kurulus: Osman,' Osman Gazi continues this struggle for independence. See more 02/10/2022 BEST SERIES EVER, Very motivational and inspiring See more 09/16/2021 Ew. Worst season yet. See more 05/16/2021 Great Story! Great action! Great acting! Great actors! Beautiful scenes! See more 11/30/2020 I'm not one to watch something with subtitles. However, this series is one I've made an exception for. When the actors can make you feel empathy with their characters, then they have done their job well. The scenery, the horsemanship that the actors have, the lengths they have gone to in order to make the villages look authentic, is amazing! I'm curious though as to what the reasoning was behind blurring out the bloody wounds. I'm guessing it might be a cultural thing, or they didn't want to offend anyone's sensibilities. I've already talked with friends about the show and can't wait to watch each episode. See more Read all reviews
