Cage has enormous fun with all of this but also establishes that his character sometimes is primarily a spider and physicalizes that in a way that's just a riot. If you saw him in "Vampire's Kiss," you're familiar with his brand of unbridled acting. Go to Full Review

It’s a lot of fun, acting and direction are exemplary, and its parade of thieves, grifters, and bouncers are wonderfully evil. Go to Full Review

Nicolas Cage gives a four-star performance in a three-star Spidey-adjacent series that is almost but not quite as gloriously unhinged as he is playing a 1930’s gumshoe who’s 70 percent Humphrey Bogart and 30 percent Bugs Bunny. Go to Full Review

"'Spider-Noir'" blends the best of 'Spider-Man' with the best of 1930s cinema, uniting superhero genre themes with a tribute to classic films that is a beautiful experience." [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

With great power comes great responsibility; but with Nicolas Cage always comes something imminently intriguing and worth watching, Go to Full Review

While it’s 1930s-setting and production design makes Spider-Noir seem like a cross between Boardwalk Empire and Sin City, the eight-episode series actually feels like Marvel’s answer to The Penguin. Go to Full Review

Lacey S @Lacey99 10h Great bit of older Nicolas Cage with atmospherically shot visuals. Perfect to look at and enjoy. See more Dana H @RT99804383 12h I am a 70 year old lady school teacher who has been in love with comic books since my first Batman at 8 years old. Archie and Veronica, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Spider Man lit up my imagination with another world beyond my tiny town. I have never stopped loving all of the Super Hero Comics. It has been and always will be "Good vs. Evil" with a little love, mystery and violence in our stories that has entranced people since cave dwellers started drawing images on their walls. Shakespeare, Jane Austin and Agatha Christie will always be read and popular for this very reason. However, lately the heroes are a little less exciting in most of our media than they used to be. This series gave it back to me and it was pure fun and joy to see it! I binged watch it in color one day then black and white the next. I urge you to do the same as black and white version actually is the best. Thank you for bringing a little joy to the genre back for me! See more TexBru B @Peterq7 1d I say that this one is a fun one and very well done with no way to predict the end of this series. See more John B @Grsmonky74 1d Watched in black and white. Absolutely delightful. It's a fresh and inventive take on spider man. Thought it would be terrible with an aging Nick Cage, but I'll be damned if it didn't work. He was great. It had the exact right amount of humor mixed in. Looking forward to a second season. See more Mia B @Mia32187 1d The black and white option really sold me on this one. I flipped it on for the first episode and it felt like watching a lost Bogart film, just with a guy climbing walls. Cage's voice work is perfect for the era, all gravel and weariness. I usually cant stand the whole extended universe stuff, but this stands alone which is a huge plus. It's a slow burn, sure, but that's what noir is supposed to be. Nice to see a superhero show that isn't just a two hour CGI punch up stretched to eight episodes. See more Gwendolyn P @RT67800421 2d Loved it. Nic Cage was brilliant! See more Read all reviews
