This soapy series features all the relationship drama and obnoxious materialistic bling that these types of reality series are known for... If you are looking for a guilty pleasure, no doubt that this one will fit the bill. Go to Full Review

04/05/2022 Binged the 1st season and was hooked. I need more of this. Why'd they leave us with that cliffhanger tho? :/ See more 03/31/2022 Point??? Sadly, that's all I can say. Are they attempting to profit off of my "blackness" and use me as a trend...YES!!! Bye now 😒 See more 03/21/2022 I like watching certain types of reality tv shows, because they educate me on certain "elites" or circles, especially those who want the media coverage and attention (no jugement here, it's all good). Since the African diaspora and youth is oftentimes portrayed as starving kids in the middle of nowhere, I found it really interesting to have a bunch of African young leaders and artists come together on Netflix. The problem is: I am not sure how accurate the depiction is. Disconnected from reality is an understatement. South Africa's capital has many problems, from segregation to housing crisis and poverty; and none of it is shown on the show. I know, the show isn't about that so it is only normal they show the best footage, but it could at least be vaguely mentioned or displayed without cutting all the actually interesting footage. On another note, one of the things I hated the most about the tv show is how every single woman had 5 kilos of make-up on her face, and every single man had a cheating problem / history. I mean, I know (as an African myself) that this is unfortunately common (both fuckboyism culture and lack of refinement / cheap "look at me" nouveau riche mindset), BUT I still think the producers could've chosen some variety to break these misconceptions about Africans and introduce new lifestyles and values. Overall, it was still worth my time I guess. See more Junji Ito's G @RT07784604 03/20/2022 Boring in some parts, and some people of the cast are not likeable. See more Read all reviews
