An American writer who served up some controversial and raunchy pieces of literary work stemming mostly from his hedonistic post-college lifestyle, Tucker Max co-wrote and produced the much-hyped film "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" (2009), based on his best-selling novel of the same name. Published in 2006, the book was a compilation of his countless drunken, sexual encounters and alcohol-induced states of unconsciousness. Coincidentally, the book was based on Max's eponymous blog, www.tuckermax.com, that detailed the self-proclaimed party boy's penchant for ogling and bedding women, and then unrepentantly blogging about them. While Max was worshipped by his college-age admirers who were able to vicariously live out some of their fantasies through him, he also became the target of numerous blog sites that sought to discredit him. While it was uncertain whether Max was indeed a hero or a cautionary tale, his unabashed and raw musings of life in the fast lane undoubtedly made him one of the most notorious writers of his generation and a legend in the blogosphere.
