This portly French character actor has appeared in a steady stream of homegrown movies since the 1970s, with the occasional foray into American and British fare. While he has rarely, if ever, been a leading man, he has built up an impressive résumé, working alongside many well-known French stars including Bruno Cremer in 1978's "Le Concorde Affair" (which also starred Dennis Hopper), Sophie Marceau in 1985's "L'Amour Braque," and Michel Serrault in the 1987 drama "Bernadette." Other notable film appearances include "Le Nain Rouge" in 1998, about a dwarf in love with a trapeze artist, which screened in competition at that year's Cannes Film Festival. Working outside of France, Flick had a small role in 1980s comedy "American Dreamer," starring JoBeth Williams and Tom Conti, while fans of "The Darling Buds Of May" -- the charming British TV show which launched the career of Catherine Zeta-Jones -- may well have spotted Flick in the "Breath Of French Air" episode, in which the Larkin family take off for a vacation in France. And he continues to be in demand as a voiceover artist dubbing foreign TV shows: his vocals can be heard on the French-language versions of animated children's series such as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "The Wizards Of Waverly Place."
